Tung Ting
This oolong is grown at elevations around 2,500 feet, in Nantou County, Taiwan. The large, hand-picked leaves are medium-oxidized, in the more traditional Tung Ting style, and finished with a light charcoal roast. When infused, the tightly rolled balls unfurl with a mouthwateringly sweet aroma of flowers and fruit; the balanced flavor is positioned equally between a green and black tea, with a thick, brothy mouthfeel.
The luminous amber color and honeyed aftertaste linger through many infusions; note how the roasted fragrance builds as the leaves open.
